Jalen Ramsey sounded comfortable with the understanding that his contract will not be renegotiated by the Jacksonville Jaguars with two years.
The team’s conclusion is understandable, but Ramsey needs it understood that when the team does come calling contract talks, he’s asking for the moon. Within an Instagram Live conversation with teammate Leonard Fournette Ramsey noted he will not be giving any reduction.

“Next year, particularly after I chunk, they are likely to come to me,’Hey, you know what, hey we would like to shout at you…’ (Whistles). That number is going to be so ungodly,” he said.” (Whistles). That amount going to be so ungodly, they’re only going to seem (gives wide-eyed stare).
“They are likely to say’oh, god, we can’t get no reduction? 20 percent away?’ Nuh-uh (shakes head). I’m going to tell them past yeary’all could have obtained that reduction. This year? Nuh-uh (shakes head rapidly). I would like all of that.”
Gamers rarely, if ever, should provide a hometown discount. Ramsey noted this season that when the group wanted to shave a bit off the general bill, they would not have approached him. Contract figures rise.
“They could’ve got a small discount this year, possibly. Just a tiny sample, however. Just a little,” he explained.
Ramsey enters the fourth year of his rookie deal, set to earn $3.634 million in base wages. The Jags exercised the fifth-year option for the former No. 5 overall selection, which will pay him $13.7 million in 2020.
